OTR Hotshot Driver Jobs in Utah — Now Hiring
TruckingJobsInUSA — Driver Placement
Job Description
TruckingJobsInUSA is actively hiring experienced Hotshot drivers for over-the-road (OTR) positions based in Utah. We are a CDL driver recruiting agency placing qualified drivers with vetted, well-established carriers across the United States — and we have immediate openings for drivers domiciled in and around Salt Lake City, Utah.
This is a full-time Hotshot driving position paying $55,500 - $78,000/year depending on experience, lane, and safety record. Home time: Out 1–2 weeks. We work with multiple client carriers, so once you apply our recruiters match you to the opening that best fits your home-time, pay, and equipment preferences — there is no cost to you, ever.
Pay context for Utah: the statewide CDL-A average is $57,800, and the strongest-paying metros are Salt Lake City (about $62,800), Provo (about $57,200), Ogden (about $56,400). Utah runs above the national cost-of-living average (index 101), so the headline number buys less than it does in a cheaper state — adjusted for living costs it works out closer to $57,228. Wage trend is currently rising — Utah trucking wages are climbing as the Salt Lake City metro grows into a major western distribution hub. The I-15/I-80 interchange and expanding e-commerce facilities drive demand.
Speed limits for trucks in Utah run 70 mph on interstates, with 80 mph (cars), 70 mph trucks on rural interstates. Tolls: Express lanes on I-15 in Salt Lake City area (Utah Express). Otherwise no toll roads.
Winter operating requirement: Chain carry required October 1 to April 30 on mountain passes. UDOT can mandate chain-up during storms.
Fuel tax in Utah is $0.345 per gallon diesel + federal, which matters if you are comparing per-mile offers across state lines. Inspection climate: Moderate. Utah Highway Patrol motor carrier division conducts inspections at ports of entry and via mobile units.
How it works: apply with the quick form below (under 60 seconds, no resume needed), one of our recruiters calls you to confirm your experience and what you're looking for, and we set up interviews with the carriers that match. You choose the offer that's right for you.
We require a minimum of 12 months of verifiable Non-CDL driving experience for this role. If you have at least one year behind the wheel and a clean record, we want to talk to you.

- Competitive otr pay ($55,500 - $78,000/year)
