Job Description

TruckingJobsInUSA is actively hiring experienced Intermodal drivers for regional positions based in Colorado. We are a CDL driver recruiting agency placing qualified drivers with vetted, well-established carriers across the United States — and we have immediate openings for drivers domiciled in and around Denver, Colorado.

This is a full-time Intermodal driving position paying $57,000 - $80,500/year depending on experience, lane, and safety record. Home time: Home weekly. We work with multiple client carriers, so once you apply our recruiters match you to the opening that best fits your home-time, pay, and equipment preferences — there is no cost to you, ever.

Pay context for Colorado: the statewide CDL-A average is $60,800, and the strongest-paying metros are Denver (about $65,400), Colorado Springs (about $59,800), Fort Collins (about $58,200). Colorado runs above the national cost-of-living average (index 105), so the headline number buys less than it does in a cheaper state — adjusted for living costs it works out closer to $57,905. Wage trend is currently rising — Colorado trucking wages are increasing as Denver becomes a major distribution hub for the Mountain West. Mountain driving premiums and cannabis industry logistics add to demand.

Speed limits for trucks in Colorado run 65 mph on mountain interstates (I-70 west of Denver), with 75 mph on rural interstates. Tolls: E-470 (Denver beltway), Northwest Parkway, I-25 Express Lanes (Denver metro). ExpressToll transponder or license plate tolling.

Winter operating requirement: Traction Law (Code 15) requires adequate tread depth or chains September 1 to May 31 on I-70 mountain corridor. Chain Law (Code 16) mandates chains on all commercial vehicles during severe conditions.

Fuel tax in Colorado is $0.205 per gallon diesel + federal, which matters if you are comparing per-mile offers across state lines. Inspection climate: High on mountain corridors. CDOT and Colorado State Patrol focus enforcement on I-70 mountain grades, I-25 corridor, and during chain law enforcement periods.

How it works: apply with the quick form below (under 60 seconds, no resume needed), one of our recruiters calls you to confirm your experience and what you're looking for, and we set up interviews with the carriers that match. You choose the offer that's right for you.

We require a minimum of 12 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience for this role. If you have at least one year behind the wheel and a clean record, we want to talk to you.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A commercial driver's license
  • Minimum 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) — no major violations
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
  • At least 21 years of age (23+ for some lanes)

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive regional pay ($57,000 - $80,500/year)
  • Weekly settlements / direct deposit
  • Medical, dental & vision options through client carriers
  • Paid orientation and sign-on bonuses on select accounts
  • Late-model, well-maintained equipment
  • Dedicated recruiter — one point of contact, no spam
