Job Description

TruckingJobsInUSA is actively hiring experienced Hazmat drivers for over-the-road (OTR) positions based in Tennessee. We are a CDL driver recruiting agency placing qualified drivers with vetted, well-established carriers across the United States — and we have immediate openings for drivers domiciled in and around Memphis, Tennessee.

This is a full-time Hazmat driving position paying $62,000 - $87,500/year depending on experience, lane, and safety record. Home time: Out 1–2 weeks. We work with multiple client carriers, so once you apply our recruiters match you to the opening that best fits your home-time, pay, and equipment preferences — there is no cost to you, ever.

Pay context for Tennessee: the statewide CDL-A average is $57,200, and the strongest-paying metros are Memphis (about $63,800), Nashville (about $62,200), Knoxville (about $56,400). Tennessee sits below the national cost-of-living average (index 90), so pay stretches further here — adjusted for living costs the equivalent is roughly $63,556. Wage trend is currently rising — Tennessee trucking pay is rising, led by Memphis (FedEx global hub) and Nashville's booming logistics sector. No state income tax makes take-home pay among the best in the Southeast.

Routing matters on this account: Hazmat restricted through downtown Nashville and Memphis. Designated routes avoid Smoky Mountains tourist areas. FedEx/UPS air hub traffic around Memphis has specific hazmat protocols. Weigh and inspection posture in the state: Weigh stations on I-40, I-65, I-75, I-24, and I-81. Tennessee Highway Patrol commercial vehicle enforcement.

Fuel tax in Tennessee is $0.27 per gallon diesel + federal, which matters if you are comparing per-mile offers across state lines. Inspection climate: Moderate to high. Tennessee Highway Patrol is active on I-40, I-65, and I-75 corridors.

How it works: apply with the quick form below (under 60 seconds, no resume needed), one of our recruiters calls you to confirm your experience and what you're looking for, and we set up interviews with the carriers that match. You choose the offer that's right for you.

We require a minimum of 12 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience for this role. If you have at least one year behind the wheel and a clean record, we want to talk to you.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A commercial driver's license
  • Minimum 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) — no major violations
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
  • At least 21 years of age (23+ for some lanes)
  • Hazmat (H) endorsement required

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive otr pay ($62,000 - $87,500/year)
  • Weekly settlements / direct deposit
  • Medical, dental & vision options through client carriers
  • Paid orientation and sign-on bonuses on select accounts
  • Late-model, well-maintained equipment
  • Dedicated recruiter — one point of contact, no spam
