Job Description

TruckingJobsInUSA is actively hiring experienced Dump Truck drivers for regional positions based in Michigan. We are a CDL driver recruiting agency placing qualified drivers with vetted, well-established carriers across the United States — and we have immediate openings for drivers domiciled in and around Detroit, Michigan.

This is a full-time Dump Truck driving position paying $51,500 - $72,500/year depending on experience, lane, and safety record. Home time: Home most nights. We work with multiple client carriers, so once you apply our recruiters match you to the opening that best fits your home-time, pay, and equipment preferences — there is no cost to you, ever.

Pay context for Michigan: the statewide CDL-A average is $58,800, and the strongest-paying metros are Detroit (about $64,200), Grand Rapids (about $59,800), Kalamazoo (about $57,400). Michigan sits below the national cost-of-living average (index 91), so pay stretches further here — adjusted for living costs the equivalent is roughly $64,615. Wage trend is currently stable — Michigan trucking wages are stable, driven by the automotive supply chain (Detroit's Big Three), cross-border freight with Canada via the Ambassador Bridge, and furniture manufacturing in Grand Rapids.

Axle weight is what gets tickets written on aggregate and ready-mix work: Michigan enforces 18,000 lbs single axle, 32,000 lbs tandem (bridge formula varies by axle count) against an 164,000 lbs on designated state routes (highest in the US). Scale coverage: Weigh stations on I-94, I-75, I-96, I-69. Michigan State Police commercial vehicle enforcement is very active. Border crossing enforcement at Detroit and Port Huron.

Fuel tax in Michigan is $0.488 per gallon diesel + federal (among highest in US), which matters if you are comparing per-mile offers across state lines. Inspection climate: High. Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division is very active with focus on weight compliance, border crossing credentials, and winter safety equipment.

How it works: apply with the quick form below (under 60 seconds, no resume needed), one of our recruiters calls you to confirm your experience and what you're looking for, and we set up interviews with the carriers that match. You choose the offer that's right for you.

We require a minimum of 12 months of verifiable CDL-B driving experience for this role. If you have at least one year behind the wheel and a clean record, we want to talk to you.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-B commercial driver's license
  • Minimum 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) — no major violations
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
  • At least 21 years of age (23+ for some lanes)

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive regional pay ($51,500 - $72,500/year)
  • Weekly settlements / direct deposit
  • Medical, dental & vision options through client carriers
  • Paid orientation and sign-on bonuses on select accounts
  • Late-model, well-maintained equipment
  • Dedicated recruiter — one point of contact, no spam
