Do I need my own truck?

No. The carrier supplies the truck.

This matters because 1099 and per-mile pay often signal an owner-operator or lease-purchase arrangement where fuel, maintenance and the truck payment come out of your rate. That is not this job. You are not buying, leasing, or financing equipment here.

How much experience do you actually need?

Two years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, minimum. That is a hard floor on this seat, not a preference — a driver at 18 months is not eligible for this one.

Reefer time specifically helps but is not required if your OTR record is solid. You will be running a reefer unit daily, so you need to be comfortable with setpoints, pre-cooling and temperature logs.

What does the schedule really look like?

Three weeks out, then 3–4 days off. The time off is scheduled, not something you have to negotiate load by load.

It is a genuine over-the-road cycle. If you need to be home weekly, this seat is not the right one and we will tell you that on the call rather than let you find out in week two.

Where can you be based?

The seat is over-the-road, so you run nationwide freight — but you need to be domiciled in one of these markets for the reset and the dispatch cycle to work.
