Refrigerated (Reefer) OTR Driver — Nationwide

We are looking for experienced OTR drivers to haul temperature-controlled freight in 53-foot refrigerated trailers. You will transport produce, dairy, frozen foods, meat, pharmaceuticals, and other perishable goods that require precise temperature management throughout the trip. This means monitoring your reefer unit, checking temps at every stop, and ensuring the cold chain stays intact from pickup to delivery.

Reefer freight pays more than standard dry van because the stakes are higher. A temperature excursion can destroy an entire load worth $50,000 or more. We need drivers who take that responsibility seriously, follow proper pre-cool and continuous-monitoring procedures, and communicate proactively with dispatch when something does not look right. Delivery windows are tighter than dry van — grocery DCs and food distributors expect on-time performance.

You will run primarily on high-demand produce lanes during peak season (California, Florida, Arizona, Texas) and year-round refrigerated freight the rest of the time. Expect 2,300 to 2,900 miles per week with strong freight availability.
