Heavy Haul / Oversized Load Driver

We are hiring experienced heavy haul drivers to transport oversized and overweight freight including construction equipment, industrial machinery, wind turbine components, bridge beams, and other loads that require special permits, pilot cars, and route surveys. This is the most challenging and highest-paying segment of flatbed trucking. If you have the skills to handle 80,000 to 200,000+ pound loads on RGN, lowboy, and multi-axle trailers, we want to talk to you.

Heavy haul driving is not for beginners. You will work with permit services to plan routes that account for bridge weight limits, overhead clearances, road width restrictions, and utility line heights. Many loads require escort vehicles, and you will coordinate with pilot car operators and sometimes law enforcement during transport. Loading and securement on these loads follows strict engineering specifications — there is no guessing.

This position pays $80,000 to $110,000 annually and requires a minimum of 3 years of CDL-A experience with at least 1 year in heavy haul or oversized operations. You will run OTR with home time every 10 to 14 days. Loads are planned well in advance, so your schedule is more predictable than standard OTR freight. This is a career position for skilled professionals.
