Flatbed Driver — Regional Routes

We need flatbed drivers for regional routes hauling steel, lumber, building materials, machinery, and other open-deck freight. This is hands-on trucking — you will be tarping, strapping, and chaining your own loads. If you take pride in a tight securement job and enjoy the variety that flatbed brings compared to pulling a box, this position is for you.

Regional routes keep you within a multi-state area so you get home more often than OTR. Most of our flatbed drivers are home weekly, with occasional two-week stretches during peak construction season (spring through fall). You will average 1,800 to 2,400 miles per week depending on the region and load mix. Loads are a combination of steel coils from mills, lumber from yards, and construction materials heading to job sites.

Flatbed driving pays more than van freight because the work is more physical and requires real skill. Proper load securement is not optional — it is the law (FMCSA regulations 393.100-393.136) and it keeps everyone on the road safe. We provide all tarps, straps, chains, binders, and edge protectors. You bring the CDL-A, the experience, and the work ethic.
