Car Hauler Driver — Regional

We are looking for car hauler drivers to transport vehicles on multi-car carrier trailers. You will be picking up new vehicles from manufacturing plants, rail yards, and auction facilities, then delivering them to dealerships, ports, and private buyers. A typical load is 7 to 10 vehicles depending on the carrier type (open or enclosed), and you are responsible for safely loading, securing, and unloading every one of them.

Car hauling requires a specific skill set that goes beyond standard trucking. You need to be comfortable driving other people's vehicles onto and off of a multi-level trailer, working with hydraulic ramps and decks, and maneuvering in tight dealership lots. Every vehicle you haul is worth $30,000 to $80,000 or more — scratches, dents, and damage come out of your reputation and your carrier's insurance record. Precision and patience are not optional in this job.

This is a regional position with most routes covering a multi-state area. You will be home weekly in most cases. Annual earnings range from $65,000 to $85,000 depending on your experience and the number of loads you run. Car hauling has a strong seasonal component — spring and fall are peak delivery seasons when dealerships stock up for buying season.
