Combined HazMat/Tanker for No Experience / Student Drivers
The X endorsement combines the Hazardous Materials (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements into a single designation. It is required for drivers who transport hazardous materials in tank vehicles, such as gasoline tankers, diesel fuel delivery trucks, liquid chemical transports, and liquefied gas haulers. The X endorsement is the highest-paying endorsement combination in trucking and creates access to the most specialized and lucrative freight.
You are either fresh out of CDL school, currently in a training program, or considering a career change into trucking. Many mega-carriers offer paid training programs that require no prior experience. This is the starting point for most professional truck drivers.
